[He believes her when she says it's all right, that there's no harm done. He can't not. Not after they'd first met. When they had that connection, knowing there was something coldly alike in them both.]

[ They really are like two sides of the same coin, aren't they? Both so worried about being strong and in control, both having to take care of everyone but themselves. Being around Shiro makes Elena realize more about herself, as well as making her more certain than ever that she needs to look after him. ]
