BASIC INFORMATION
Name: Elena Gilbert
Canon: The Vampire Diaries
Age: 19
Info: Elena's application.
Elena is a Petrova doppelganger, and her blood has been and can be used in a variety of spells, as well as to transition werewolves into vampire hybrids. When Elena was 18, she died and was turned into a vampire against her will. Somehow, she survived to see her high school graduation and start college. She even found her soulmate... only to lose him forever shortly before arriving in Beacon.
Fiercely loyal to her friends and family, she will do anything to keep them safe – she’s traded her freedom and life away, betrayed allies she'd made deals with, and put her own wants and needs after theirs. It doesn't matter if she and her friends argue, she always makes an effort to reconnect and repair any damage, no matter how much it takes, and she stands by them through thick, thin, and all manner of supernatural transformations and incidents. Elena isn't the type to give up - on people or seemingly hopeless situations, especially if it involves someone she loves. She'll follow every course of action possible, even if she has to do it on her own, and she won't stop looking for new possibilities if the first options don't work. She's also stubborn and won't take crap from anyone, or be bullied or told what to do, even by a powerful supernatural creature. She'll argue and fight back and dig her heels in no matter who she's up against.
Elena has a tendency to make bad choices, especially in dangerous situations that involve the safety and well-being of her friends and family. She will disregard her own safety and even sacrifice her own life without a second thought if she believes it to be in the best interest of her loved ones. While it is a strength that she cares deeply for people, sometimes she cares too deeply. When the people who mean the most to her die, she absolutely falls apart. Guilt is another thing that Elena feels deeply – for her part in the suffering of others, for the people she killed while her humanity was turned off, for being one of the only members of her family left alive. The list goes on and on, and it can be easy for people to use that guilt against her.
POWERS AND SKILLS
✦ VAMPIRE ABILITIES» ENHANCED ABILITIES, including super speed, strength, agility, senses, and durability.✦ VAMPIRE WEAKNESSES
in Beacon: Enhanced eyesight doesn't do anything against the darkness.
» IMMORTALITY AND HEALING factor that saves her from most deaths.
in Beacon: All deaths will be treated like normal in-game deaths, and her healing factor will only be twice the normal human speed instead of super fast.
» HEIGHTENED EMOTIONS and emotional control that allows her to turn off her emotions like a switch.
» MIND CONTROL that allows her to, upon eye contact, control human minds and alter memories.
in Beacon: This ability will only be used with express player permission.
» HEALING BLOOD that when ingested can heal most injuries in humans, but will also cause humans to turn into vampires upon death if the blood is still in their systems. This effect lasts 24 hours.
in Beacon: Drinking her blood will allow humans to have a twice-as-fast healing rate without the risk of transitioning into a vampire.» SUNLIGHT will injure and burn upon prolonged exposure if she isn't wearing a Daylight Ring made of lapis lazuli and spelled by a witch.
» VERVAIN will harm and weaken her, and prevent others from being compelled if the herb is worn or ingested.
» FIRE, BEHEADING, AND A STAKE to the heart will kill her; technically any removal of the heart will do so.
» WEREWOLF VENOM will slowly poison and ultimately kill a vampire.
» AN INVITATION must be extended for a vampire to enter the home of a living human.
» KILLING ONE OF THE FIVE (magical vampire hunters) causes a vampire to be haunted by hallucinations to an extreme degree.
» THE DEATH OF THE ORIGINAL Vampire who sired Elena's bloodline dies, then she and every other vampire in the line will also die.
✦ DOPPELGANGER ABILITIES» THE BLOOD of a doppelganger is a source of magical power and often used in spells by witches. (Sometimes human doppelganger blood is specifically required.)
» A MYSTICAL CONNECTION that is inherently strong exists between doppelgangers.
PERMISSIONS
Physical Affection: Elena is a touchy-feely type of person with those she is close to; others may receive odd looks and other reactions depending on the type of affection, the situation, and their personal connection. Feel free to contact OOC to discuss!
Physical Violence: Violence is a-okay, but discussion for gory results please!
Romance/Relationships: Elena is head over heels in love with Damon, so other romantic relationships are only likely to happen with the right build-up. (I'm totally down for working toward something, though, or more casual arrangements.) However, she would very much like to gather a large group of friends and found family.
Thread-jacking: Would prefer a heads-up, but will probably be fine.
Back-tagging: Always and forever.
Fourth-walling: With discussion.
Offensive Subjects/Triggers: Nothing offensive, but Elena may not deal well with matters concerning death, grief, and whether she has the right to still be 'alive' as a vampire. This is all canon, though, so bring it.

Blood Healing: That is so badass, yes.
Compulsion: Hear me out because I'd love for her to try, I'd probably propose some thoroughly self indulgent thing involving hearts and KH bullshit and the fact that it's not Riku's first time in the Mind Control Rodeo. There's the potential for interpersonal conflict too that can be overcome, depends on the situation. Could make for delicious CR/development, but only if the attempt would be IC for her to begin with!

COMPULSION: Can you say trust -5.000? I'm okay with it if it ever comes up - but it'd break any and all trust Eleven has in her, and that would be hard to win back. She doesn't like people being in her head. THAT SAID tho, that's not a no if it ever feels appropriate

Blood Healing: I'm willing to give it a shot if it comes up that he needs healing. He can't accept regular medical care (he's got a Bad Phobia), so this could be an interesting alternative.
Compulsion: Gonna opt out of this one. This is my squick, and Bucky's had enough of this anyway.
For Stone:
Blood Donor: NOPE he will be very grumpy if this even comes up. He's got cannibals in his canon, okay.
Blood Healing: This would be an IC nope, but if the situation comes up where he needs it and is unable to chase her off, I am absolutely willing to see what happens. He's technically an alien, though, so it may have different effects?

Healing: ...Again, nope. Jo doesn't want to be a vampire and she's pretty antimagic too still, so she would not accept that.
Compulsion: Jo can be stubborn but probably not immune. We could totally discuss OOC if a chance arose!!
